Menstruation and the challenges faced by women
The onset of menstruation is one of the major changes that happen in the life of a girl. During the menstruation process, menstrual hygiene is of utmost importance. In India, menstrual practices have a lot of restrictions. Lack of knowledge around menstruation further leads to adverse health conditions. Sanitary Napkin Incinerators and Vending Machines are some of the most important appliances for menstrual hygiene.
Reproductive Tract Infections (RTIs) are increasing among women due to a lack of menstrual awareness. Around 29.3% of the adolescent girls in India use cloth during periods, leading to adverse infections.
Why are Indians lacking awareness?
Indians lack awareness regarding menstruation because discussion on menstruation is considered a taboo in the country. Also, there is less or no availability of pads in the rural regions. Many times, the sanitary napkins available are not of good quality.
There is even less awareness about reproductive health education. Educational television programs, Youtube videos, and Social Medias can be leveraged to increase awareness among girls and women.
Precitech’s Sanitary Napkin Dispensers
Precitech has taken the initiative to provide sanitary napkin vending machines at an economical price. We at Precitech offer coin-operated sanitary napkin vending machines that are cost-effective and easy to use. The machine runs on no electricity and is very easy to install.
To use the machine follow these three simple steps:
- Check the availability of pads in the dispenser through the transparent slit.
- Move the right-hand side knob on the machine in the anti-clockwise direction.
- Insert a coin, wait for a few seconds and collect the sanitary napkin.
The vending machines can be installed at places like schools, colleges, hospitals, shopping malls, and restrooms. The machine can be wall-mounted or can be simply put on the tabletop.
How Precitech’s Sanitary Napkin Incinerators promote their usage and bring awareness?
The disposal of sanitary napkins is also a big issue. It takes 800 million years or more for a sanitary napkin to degrade. With an increase in menstrual awareness, the sanitary napkin disposal rate is likely to increase. Inappropriate disposal of sanitary napkins can be a major problem leading to diseases and adverse effects on the environment. Unhygienic ways of disposal are a threat to the environment. Thus, no time should be given for Pathogens to develop on the used pads.
Precitech has developed a fuel-free and high-temperature Sanitary Napkin Incinerator called “NapBin”.
The napkin Incinerators can dispose of approximately 50-500 pads in a day and are effortless to use.
To use the Incinerator follow these five simple steps:
- Switch on the MCB of the Incinerator.
- Open the small opening, that is marked as “Deposit” on the device. Place the used pad on that tray.
- Switch on the button at the bottom of the Incinerator and let the green light turn on.
- Once the incineration process is complete the red light shows.
- The sterile ash after burning gets collected in the ashtray at the bottom which can be disposed of later.
Both the Sanitary Napkin Vending Machine and Sanitary Napkin Incinerator can be customized according to the requirements.
