Biomedical Waste Treatment by Incinerators

The safe disposal of biomedical waste is a social and legal responsibility of every citizen. The segregation and disposal is a collective task where every citizen and organization needs to come forward. The waste generated by the health sector can rapidly spread infections if not treated well.

The waste is generated during the diagnosis or the treatment of humans or animals. The waste can be – used medical equipments, human tissues, animal tissues, laboratory waste, etc. The waste is lethal and can cause problems on a global scale. Whether it is the dense areas of the cities or the rural areas; biomedical waste management is the need of the hour.

Precitech has been dealing with biomedical waste incinerators for more than two decades. We have been providing Incinerators in Hyderabad, Telangana & other Indian cities. Our Incinerators are also working efficiently in other countries.

Precitech’s BioMedical Waste Incinerators

Precitech Biomedical Incinerators employ high-temperature combustion to destroy biomedical waste. The Biomedical Incinerators are in abiding by the Bio-Medical Waste regulations. Here are a few of the features of Precitech’s Biomedical Incinerators:

  • Capacity: 1kg/hr to 4ton/hr
  • Type: Stationary
  • Fuel: Diesel, Gas & Electric
  • Components: Primary chamber, secondary chamber, dust collector, heat recovery system, smoke washer, ID fan, FD fan & chimney along with fans and burners with automatic controls

Precitech’s one of the turnkey projects was a 50 kg PLC-enabled biomedical incinerator in People’s Medical College Bhopal. The project was completed by Precitech within the stipulated time frame allotted by the authorities and in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).  Read more about it here.

How Biomedical Waste Treated?

Heaps of waste are first transferred into the primary chambers of Biomedical Incinerators which have temperatures of around 800°C to 1000°C. Further, the gases reach the secondary chamber where they are processed. Finally, there are pollution control systems to recover heat and ash.

Though the fly ash is used by construction companies to make ash bricks. However, biomedical waste being hazardous ash is sent to landfills.

Conclusion

It is essential to understand that the incineration process is in compliance with environmental regulations and doesn’t emit any harmful gases. There should be proper means of disposal of the ash produced.

Many authorities recommend incineration as the safest way to handle biomedical waste. Yes, biomedical waste differs from other wastage because of its toxicity and is one of the factors to spread diseases in any area. Incineration of the waste is the only viable solution available.
Precitech Bio Medical Incinerators are compatible with various types of fuel. With PLC-enabled controls the working of the Incinerators is easy. Our incinerators are also cost-efficient and your investment with Precitech will be profitable. Reach us today to start your industrial journey.
